Answers to common questions about digital organization, remote and in-person services, how the process works, and what to expect when working together.
What exactly is digital organization?
Digital organization is about creating order in all the technology and information you use every day. That can include files, cloud storage, photos, email, passwords, accounts, applications, client information, business systems, AI tools and workflows.
It’s not just about cleaning things up. The goal is to create systems that make information easier to find, technology easier to use and your business easier to manage.
How do I know if I need a digital organizer?
If you regularly waste time searching for files, have information scattered across multiple devices or accounts, keep asking clients to resend things, struggle to separate business and personal information, or have systems that only make sense to you, digital organization can probably help.
Sometimes it’s as simple as:
“I know this could work better, but I don’t know how to fix it.”
That’s enough of a reason to talk.
What if I don’t know what I need help with?
That’s completely normal. You don’t need to diagnose the problem or choose the right service before contacting me.
Tell me what’s driving you crazy, what keeps taking too long, or what you wish worked differently. One of my strengths is seeing how all the pieces connect and figuring out where we should start.
Do I need to organize anything before we start?
No. Please don’t. The mess is why you’re hiring me.
Seeing how things are currently organized, even when they aren’t organized at all, helps me understand how you work, where things are breaking down and what kind of system will actually work for you.
You don’t need to clean up for the organizer.
Are you going to make me organize everything your way?
No. A system isn’t useful if it only makes sense to the person who created it.
I want to understand how you think, work and naturally look for information. Then we can build an organization system around that instead of forcing you into someone else’s idea of how things are supposed to be organized.
Can you help if everything is spread across different devices and accounts?
Absolutely. In fact, that’s often where we start.
Your information might be scattered across your computer, phone, external drives, Google Drive, Dropbox, email, applications and multiple accounts. We can figure out what you have, what belongs where, what can be consolidated and how everything should work together going forward.
Do you work remotely or in person?
Both. Most digital organization can be done remotely, which means I can work with clients regardless of location.
For local clients, I also offer in-person sessions and can bring my multi-screen mobile office setup with me when having everything in the same room makes more sense.
How do I get started?
Start with a free 15-minute Intro Call.
You’ll answer a few quick questions when you schedule so I have some context before we talk. Then we’ll discuss what’s going on, what you’d like to make easier and where I may be able to help.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before we talk. Figuring out where to start is part of what I do.
